Designing Neighbourhood
Futures for a +3ºC World
At Neighbourhood Futures, we explore the intersection of three key systems:

How we build, retrofit, and inhabit homes shapes neighbourhood resilience. We explore tenure, retrofit pathways, and community-led housing models.

The materials embedded in our built environment carry significant carbon and resource costs. We map flows, identify reuse opportunities, and model circular alternatives.

Energy systems are rapidly decentralising. We model neighbourhood-scale transitions, grid flexibility, and the governance of shared energy assets.
Projects
We aim to design resilient neighbourhoods through understanding and adapting these systems together.
